44 – Two Women Pharmacists Encourage Pharmacy Students to Become Intentional Leaders

Today I’m sitting down with some knowledgeable, action-oriented intentional women pharmacist leaders – Dr. Toyin Fadeyibi and Dr. Otito Iwuchukwu!

Dr. Fadeyibi received her doctorate in Pharmacy from Temple University in 2008, and her Master’s in Public Health from Drexel University’s School of Public Health in 2016. She enjoys using both of her backgrounds in her current role as the Director of Pharmacy Initiatives within the city of Philadelphia’s Behavioral Health System.

Dr. Otito Iwuchukwu is a Pharmacist-Scientist, an educator and organizational consultant with a master’s in organizational psychology. She earned her Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences at Temple University and completed her postdoctoral studies at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. She is currently on faculty at Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in New Jersey.

Both women have a passion for mentoring and training the next generation of pharmacy trailblazers! They’ve both debuted their stories on the podcast, so if you haven’t heard their stories yet, check out episode 12 and episode 19 to hear Drs. Fadeyibi and Iwuchukwu respectively share their pharmacy journeys.

On this episode, Toyin and Otito are sharing a new initiative called Lead by design, a 10-week intensive career and leadership program designed specifically for under mentored female pharmacists and students.

On this episode, we are chatting about the upcoming FREE intentional Leader Webinar curated for pharmacy student professionals and early career pharmacists who want to learn how they can discover their leader-selves through guided leadership development.
