47 – How This Pharmacist Created a Niche in the Community Setting and Her Plan To Bring Others Along

On today’s episode, I’m chatting with Dr. Jade L. Ranger. Dr. Ranger graduated from Hampton University with a doctorate of pharmacy degree in 2012.

After spending almost the first decade of her career working for big chain pharmacies, she, alongside her husband, Dr. Henry Ranger, opened The Prescription Shoppe, a full-service mom-and-pop pharmacy, in March 2019.

After launching The Prescription Shoppe, her entrepreneurial journey did not stop there! In October 2021, alongside her mother and sister, who are both breast cancer survivors, she launched Battle Baskets, a business aimed to spread positivity and help cultivate care for patients experiencing challenges in life.

She’s hailed as a community leader for raising awareness of social justice issues and her tireless support of small businesses throughout the pandemic. In addition, she is also a member of multiple pharmacy organizations.

Along with her many roles, she’s added author to her resume with the release of her newly published book, Mustard Seed Mentality: UnscRxipted Pearls of Wisdom from a Wife, Mother, and Entrepreneur, which is available for purchase on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other major retailers where books are sold.
