33 – My Transition From a Lead Pharmacist to A Clinical Manager of Specialty Pharmacy Services

Ijeoma Ekeocha Black Women Pharmacists Podcast

On this episode, I’m giving you part 2 of my transition into the world of Specialty Pharmacy.

Now you probably already know I earned a Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of the Sciences, formally known as the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy in 2009.

Following graduation, I practiced as a Clinical Pharmacist at The Johns Hopkins Hospital for 5 years and subsequently completed my post-graduate training as the first and only Non-Traditional Pharmacy Resident at The Johns Hopkins Hospital from 2014-2016.

In 2020, I joined the Specialty Pharmacy team as Clinical Pharmacy Manager. In this role, I have oversight of the Specialty Pharmacy program, overseeing quality and regulatory compliance and overall operational improvements within the pharmacy, and I couldn’t be happier!
