On today’s episode, I’m sitting down with Dr. Judith Getugi-Kerini, a pharmacist from Kenya and Co-Founder and head of operations for SysPharma Medica, a healthcare IT solutions company owned by Africans for Africa, offering dynamic client oriented solutions tailored to the African market, headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya.

She’s also working as project administrator for an East Africa pharmacovigilance initiative and is an author for ‘Diabeaters’, an online magazine for diabetics and their caregivers.

Judith is a highly driven, motivated, multilingual pharmacist who believes access is the key to healthcare. In this regard she works to ensure all cadres of health as well as the patients have access to what they need.

Her areas of expertise include hospital and satellite pharmacy management, oncology clinic set- up, regulatory affairs, strategic management, sales and marketing, and much more!

Dr. Getugi-Kerini is passionate about mentoring women and girls. She has a goal to mentor 10 women in healthcare within 25 years. Her involvement with educating young girls in Africa focusing on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is a testament to her goal.
